  • Failing to provide the necessary proof of proficiency with a firearm.
  • Having been issued a violence injunction or an injunction against repeat violence that’s currently effective
  • Renouncement of U.S. citizenship.
  • A dishonorable discharge by the armed forces.
  • Being a fugitive by the law of the state.

The state law authorizes, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, to request social security numbers from applicants. Applicant Social Security numbers are maintained and employed by the Division of Licensing for identification purposes, to stop wrong identification, and to facilitate the approval process by the respective Division. The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, won’t disclose an applicant’s Social Security number without the consent of the applicant to any individual body outside of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, or as needed by law.

However, the submission of your social security number on your concealed carry license application is optional and voluntary. if you choose not to submit your social security number, it will have no bearing on the processing of your application.

Any NRA ( National Rifle Association ) firearms safety or training course, firearms safety or training course or class available to the overall public offered by an enforcement agency, private or public organization or firearms training school, utilizing instructors approved by the N.R.A, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, or any firearms training or safety course or class conducted by a state-certified instructor or by an individual certified by the National Rifle. Association must include live fire using a firearm and ammunition as defined by the state law, in the physical presence of an instructor.
